300多年前，台北有個地熱如炙的區域，當時居住在此的凱達格蘭族人稱此地為Patauw，因為當地硫磺味濃，煙霧瀰漫，傳說有女巫住在其間。300年後，成為眾人泡湯的美麗桃花源 ─北投

Over 300 years ago, there's a place in today's Taipei where is boiling hot, The aboriginal inhabitants Ketagalan called the place Patauw,Cause it's  pungent smell and thick fume , it's said that witch living here ,After centuries ,this is still a beloved tourist spot.

Beitou Thermal Valley Green Sulfur Spring 青磺地熱泉 - 地熱谷

完全天然噴發硫氣孔的天然湧泉，水溫高達90度，谷內溫泉即所謂青磺泉，目前全世界只發現兩處，本地熱谷即其中之一，泉質聞名中外，經常為國內教學使用 

 

The Valley was once considered to be one of Taiwan's eight great natural wonders. The green waters are distinctive and peculiar,in the entire world found only here and in Akita(日本秋田縣).The fume of smoke and mist rising up out of the basin and curling up the mountains,and the translucent-green waters,have given rise to the names Jade Springs Valley and Hell Valley,a place of wonder and fantasy in the old days

地熱谷是日治時代台灣8勝12景之一，青磺泉水質獨特全世界只有北投與日本秋田縣有，此地終年為雲霧繚繞的山谷低窪，因為湯色是半透明青綠色，早期居民又稱這為「玉泉谷」或「地獄谷」，這地方是不是給大家很多想像空間呢?找時間來山中散步順便享受雲霧繚繞的青磺SPA吧
