After a pleasant stay in On My Way: Taipei, we headed to Jiufen, worldwide famous for being the source of inspiration of Hayao Miyazaki to create "Spirited Away".
We were lucky to find that Rachael, the same staff that received us in Taipei was just there, so once again it felt like home.
I would recommend anyone to stay in Jiufen at least one night, as is after 9:00pm that tourists start to leave and the old streets actually start to feel like the movie.
We were 'lucky' that it was raining during noon, so we could work in the hostel; great Wi-Fi by the way. And after coming back around 10:30pm, Rachael was preparing a taro dessert which she invited us. We were talking with other travelers and it rapidly turned midnight, it was one interesting night.
The hostel is not hard to find, and is literally 20 seconds from one of the main allies. Don't worry that it is not noisy during night. The rooms were good and the shower and bathroom clean!
We recommend staying here if you are going to Jiufen.
Thanks for having us and thanks to Nguyen for the picture!
